WINKY D COKE STUDIO UPDATE

Winky D delivered two great songs — Desculpa — a cover originally done by Messias and Higher — a collaboration with the Mozambican muso. Winky D and Messias’ was produced by Nigerian GospelOnDaBeatz. On both songs Winky D exalted himself with a flawless delivery singing on key much to the delight of fans. The Disappear singer also appealed to a crossover audience riding on his collaboration with Messias who performed in Portuguese. Winky D aka Gafa would switch from English to Shona and it was beautiful to see Messias also singing in Shona. The one thing Winky D must have learnt from the whole should how to let music flow without the oft-used one drops in dancehall music. He laced his lyrics nicely on Desculpa and owned the song much as Messias did. Such brilliance and vigor has to be seen at his live performance going forward. ANDY MURIDZO A ZIMDANCEHALL ARTST ???? This is the question that his adoring fans are asking after his latest song. Last week, the star released a video for his recent love song titled Broken Heart, which is currently trending on social media platforms. Andy muridzo  Known for mimicking Jah Prayzah’s music, the musician’s recent activities have, however, proven that he has not abandoned his passion to be a dancehall artist. In an interview last year Muridzo claimed that he had always wanted to pursue a career as a Zimdancehall musician, but Jah Prayzah advised him to try his type of music because he did not have anyone he was mentoring. Lady Squanda Born Sandra Gazi, the Chitungwiza-bred singer has in the past been mired in several controversies and violent tiffs with both male and female musicians. BUSY SIGNAL CONFIRM ZIM FESTIVAL BULAWAYO AND HARARE 04 & 05 AUGST 2017

BY TRUSTY NYATSANGA HARARE - Jamaican reggae star Busy Signal has confirmed his second tour of Zimbabwe which will take place early next month. Busy Signal, who held his maiden performance in Harare in 2015 at the Glamis Arena, will kick-start the tour at the Large City Hall in Bulawayo on August 4 where he will share the stage with red-hot South African songstress Busiswa. The Come Over singer, whose real name is Reanno Devon Gordon, will then descend on the Glamis Arena the following day where he will share the stage with several top local artistes who include Soul Jah Love, Lady Squanda, Dadza D, Takura, Killer T, Freeman, Seh Calaz and Kinnah.  In an interview with Jamaican entertainment show, Onstage, the international star said he was looking forward to returning to Zimbabwe where he attracted over 10 000 fans two years ago. “I now embrace my African fans and I will be going there in a few days’ time.
